Say your intentions using "I'm going to"

"I'm going to" is an expression of your intent to do something. In other words it describes your intention to do something, to complete something, or to receive something. It’s a plan, but a plan that you have the "intention" to fulfill in the near future. It's not just a wish or a plan for something that is far into the future.

In this episode we use Valentines Day as an example for writing sentences about our intentions to do something for our special Valentine.

What are you going to give your valentine?

Use this structure to form your own sentences:

Subject pronoun+ “going to” + Verb (infinitve form) + object + for + (pronoun)

Here are some examples from the lesson:

I’m going to make a cake for her.

I’m going to buy a present for him.

I’m going to cook dinner for them.
